Newcomer Artist Training

Under the Welcome to the Neighbourhood Program, Mabelle Arts has created a FREE training program in community arts and facilitation for newcomer artists*. This training is intended to provide you with the foundation to turn your artist practice and community interest into a vocation. Led by Ruth Howard (past and founding Artistic Director of Jumblies Theatre and Mabelle Arts’ founding organization), this hands-on workshop will take place on site at Mabelle Arts within an interactive gallery installation called 'Mementos and Marvels!', and will include presentations, creative activities, discussions, and learning resources.

We support all artists from a diversity of practices and backgrounds. Training is provided in English, with possible translation support.
