Beading Workshop
In keeping with our mission to bring indigenous knowledge and history to newcomers to Canada, Chippewa from Nawash beading artist Naomi Smith, led our participants through an advanced indigenous beading workshop. Alongside the design and skills learning, Naomi imparted important points of indigenous knowledge and history through art and craft heritage. All of us left with a deepened appreciation of those who have stewarded this land before our arrival.
