I am not a new Canadian. Am I welcome to attend?

Priority registration will be given to eligible newcomers. We are happy to keep you on a wait list and if there is room available, we will reach out.

How do you deterI am an artist who would like to sell their work. Is this training for me?mine project pricing?

It’s wonderful that your works are for sale. Unfortunately, this training focuses on how to facilitate art making within a community setting.

I am not an artist, but I am interested in arts administration. Is this training
for me?

You are welcome to join us, but please note that the training involves hands-on art making.

Does Mabelle Arts hire artists who have completed this training?

When employment opportunities arise, we often contact artists who have completed a training with us. We can never guarantee employment, but we do hope to work with you!

What kind of artists are accepted into this training? (Visual artists? Writers?
Actors?)

We welcome artists of all backgrounds and specialties!

What can I expect from this program?

This training will focus on:

  • Facilitation (how to make art with people) by exploring basic concepts, guiding principles, values, tips and approaches, cautions and challenges.

  • Creative activities which will be drawn from and added to the Mementos to Marvels evolving installation with time for reflections, questions, and commentary.

  • Sharing artistic ideas with each other.

  • Collaboration is important to us. Activities will therefore be adapted in response to areas of interest and expressed questions from YOU the participant.

What is the typical project timeline?

Engagements range from two weeks for focused audits to several months for comprehensive transformation.

Are you offering this online or in person?

In person! It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow artists.

I may not be able to attend all of the dates. Is that okay?
