This summer marked the five-year anniversary of our work in the Mabelle Park. To celebrate, we will be launching a little webrospective (I love made-up words!) of five years of art and transformation. Today I am pleased as punch to share these images of year one in the Mabelle Park – the year it was just me, co-conspirator (and now board member) Noah Kenneally and two youth Interns (Hamda Jama and Qadar Aden). It was a summer of first tasting what could be possible in the Mabelle Park – then an extremely neglected, garbage strewn and forgotten outdoor space in the heart of Mabelle.
